What makes Drew such a catch? What makes Drew so completely lovable that two strong ladies like Katie and Bianca would find themselves so torn over him? They could be friends. They could at least be allies. Instead, they are players in a very old, very sad tale - girls fighting over a guy. Some guy. Drew. What is so amazing about Drew again?

This promo made me think of an interesting plot twist for the new season -

Back at school, Bianca realizes that she could literally throw a rock and find an attractive, intelligent, decent guy at Degrassi. She decides to pursue that (or, better yet, just goes on being happy and developing her pseudo-familial ties with Mrs. Torres instead of bothering with high school romance) and maintain an amiable friendship with Drew. Her grades start to rise. College offers start to pour in. She is happy and free and her only flaw is that she dances wildly out of sheer joy at various times throughout the show.

Meanwhile, Katie, eager for something else to consume herself with - now that she’s apparently done with both eating disorders and drugs forever - creates an elaborate but completely unreal world for herself where Bianca and Drew are having a sordid affair. She decides to destroy Bianca, wonderful and finally innocent Bianca. She dyes her hair as a symbol of her madness. She plots as she watches Bianca do her silly dances.

Also meanwhile, Drew plays sports or whatever it is he does with his life when he’s not bringing drama to otherwise fine females.

Don’t you know? He’s pretty and white! That makes him totally worth it!

I mean he has had his good points, helping Katie out and Bianca. But then he pretty much goes back and forth between them like a ping pong ball. A good friend to them? Yes. A good boyfriend? Hell no to neither, and I actually like Drianca.
